VOLLEYBALL PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

Optimal Fitness has developed a Volleyball Performance program specifically designed to help Middle School and High School Volleyball players jump higher, react quicker, improve athletic coordination and increase overall body strength.  In this program we put our athletes through various plyometric drills that are designed to increase your athletes jumping ability.  Most of the drills we do in our program simulate movements that take place on the Volleyball court so their movements and reaction times naturally become quicker.  We use agility rings, agility ladders, agility dots, cones, hurdles, resistance bands and other exercise equipment to help our athletes move and react quicker while also working on their coordination.  All of the exercises we do is in a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) style format.  We stick to this format because it is proven to be the fastest way to build cardio which is important for all athletes.  Volleyball specifically is a sport where a lot of energy gets exerted in big bursts over short periods of time.  HIIT training prepares you for exactly that!
